Thistle and Poppy Salon was founded in February 2016 with a clear vision:

to create a welcoming, comfortable space in the heart of Boise where beauty is approached with intention. We're located at 1407 S Vista Ave in the historic Boise Bench neighborhood, and we've been proud to serve the Boise community ever since.

Rooted in sustainability and eco-conscious practices, we believe in cultivating beauty, both in our work and in the world around us. We believe beauty should be intentional—from the way we treat your hair to the way we care for the planet.

 

From the beginning, sustainability has been central to who we are. We are a certified Green Circle Salon, which means we recycle up to 95% of all salon waste: hair clippings, foils, color tubes, and chemical waste that most salons send to the landfill. Green Circle is a certified B Corp recognized by the Carbon Trust for meeting the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility.

We carry Davines and Cult+King — two product lines we chose specifically because their values mirror our own. Clean formulations, ethical sourcing, and a genuine commitment to the planet. You'll find these products in every service we provide and available for purchase in the salon.

Our team of stylists brings expertise in haircuts, balayage, highlights, color, vivid color, color correction, and more, with a shared commitment to ongoing education, craft, and community.
